Our Custom Monkey Wash Sweatshirt combines a light acid wash with a controlled monkey wash / spray fading effect to create a naturally faded vintage appearance.
This style uses 100% cotton French terry and features light distressing around the neckline, cuffs and bottom hem. The fading position and intensity can be customized, including applying the monkey wash effect only to selected areas while keeping other areas with a cleaner acid-washed finish.

Custom Monkey Wash & Acid Wash Sweatshirt Manufacturing
This custom sweatshirt combines multiple garment finishing processes rather than relying on a single wash effect.
The garment is first developed using 100% cotton French terry, followed by a light acid wash to create the overall vintage base color. A controlled monkey wash / spray fading process is then used to create lighter faded areas in selected positions.
The fading does not need to cover the entire garment. For example, stronger monkey wash effects can be applied to the front while the back retains a cleaner light acid-washed appearance.
Light distressing can also be added around the ribbed neckline, cuffs and bottom hem. The amount of distressing can be adjusted from subtle wear to a more heavily distressed vintage appearance.
